My Life In Colour

They say a picture says a thousand words.....so here are a couple thousand words to show you what life has been like the last week!

Here we are with Natti sharing about DRIME and our testimonies at Mingle Mania [a Young Professionals gathering]. Thanks for your prayers for this! It all came together and went well!

On Sunday July 3rd, we performed a drama at Rangsit Church & I shared my testimony with the congregation as well. P'Nok, the pastor of the church, and president of TCCC translated for me. Thanks again for your prayers for this - it's a little nerve racking sharing your story with a couple hundred people!

After church on Sunday I discovered a new treat I like! Khaaw Neau [Cow Knee-owe] and ice cream!  It's a green hot-dog-like bun with sweet sticky rice [Khaaw Neau] and ice cream [more like sorbet] on top! Delicious!!

This is one of my favourite foods - Rice noodles, with red pork & crispy pork, 2 wontons, and a spicy sauce! Doesn't sound like much, but it tastes aroi mak [very delicious]!!

Okay, I seem to be in the food category right now! Here are some fruits you will find in Thailand:
Mangosteen, durian, bananas, mango, pineapple, watermelon, and rambutan.

This is how we get drinking water! We fill up water jugs from a machine on the side of the road!

Lately, Samantha & I have been feeling a little more adventurous and will try random things from street vendors. This is one of them! It's like a crispy crepe! It's always a little challenging to explaining what we want to a street vendor; but eventually after lots of pointing, nodding, giggling and smiling [on both our parts] we end up with something tasty!

So...I found out that I needed glasses.  It only took three visits to two different optometrists to understand what I needed the glasses for...because I kept getting different answers! Information was definitely lost in translation a few times, which left me so confused and a little frustrated. But, praise the Lord, it's all figured out now. And this is a picture of my new glasses! It's the latest style in Thailand, what do you think?

Here's the view from behind the TCCC Office [from the roof]. The buildings you see house mostly TCCC Staff! They all live and work very close together!

Ning & me! I love Ning, she's so precious! She is in charge of the TCCC Guest House & has been helping us with DRIME things and our Thai lessons as well!

So these are actually my real glasses! haha!
[The are just for reading and working at the computer.]
It was so strange wearing glasses the first few days I had them. But I'm getting used to them!

Well, I hope you enjoyed the view into my week! Some of these pictures were taken other weeks...but I thought now would be a good time to show you!

Thanks for your prayers & support!
